TH tiffany uk E POLISH keeper admits he virtually a spectator as Dundee United young stars go on the rampage, but he needs to keep his concentration so he won get caught out.

RADOSLAW CIERZNIAK admitted Dundee United’s attacking play has left him enjoying the quiet life between the sticks.

But the Polish keeper claims he’s on his toes more t tiffany uk han ever now because he tiffany uk fears being caught out if he lets his concentration drop.

Old Firm keepers have traditionally been judged on their ability to pull off a crucial save despite spending much of their games as spectators.

Cierzniak feels he’s in the same position due to the Tangerines’ sparkling form which has seen them blast an incredible 17 goals in four games.

The 30 year old sets such high standards that he was gutted not to keep a clean sheet last week when Hearts grabbed a consolation from the penalty spot in United’s 4 1 win.

Cierzniak is now looking to shut out Kilmarnock’s Kris Boyd and co. at Rugby Park as Jackie McNamara’s men look to record their fifth victory on the spin.

He said: “The way the team is attacking at the moment actually makes it difficult for the keeper as I could only have one or two saves to make in a game, so you have to be switched on all the time.

“This is a new experience as I have never played in a team like this. It’s a real test as it’s really easy for the keeper to make a mistake if the team is on the front foot all the time.

“However, it is a good problem to have. Last week I was disappointed that, although we scored four great goals, I conceded one.

“Keeping clean sheets is very important for me and for Craig Hinchcliffe (goalkeeping coach) as well. Our target before every game is to keep one.

“After the last game I was happy we won 4 1 but still frustrated that we lost a goal. We haven’t conceded a lot this year so it hurts even more when we do.

“Our attacking play is great to watch and everyone is enjoying themselves. I think this is key to us doing well as everyone is happy on the pitch. We pass the ball well and there is great movement from all the players.”

United fans are witnessing their most exciting crop of young players for 30 years and Cierzniak believes their form on the park is as much down to the fact they are like one big happy family off it.

McNamara celebrated midfielder Stuart Armstrong signing a one year contract extension this week as he looks to keep stars such as Ryan Gauld, John Souttar and Gary Mackay Steven together.

Cierzniak said: “This is definitely the most exciting group of young lads I have played with. At the moment we are like a family.

“It’s not just on the pitch or in the dressing room, we meet up after training in Dundee for a coffee or go to the cinema.

“This is probab tiffany uk ly another reason why we are playing so well. If you are happy in your job and mix after training, it is very important for the players. It is great for me as well.
